For one of our hospital customers, Orbit Healthcare developed a solution whereby 100% of the small parcels shipped to the hospital arrive at the Orbit Healthcare facility off-site instead of going to the hospital loading dock. This allows our team to take custody of the package and to sort it based on the final ship-to location.  

Once sorted, utilize our small parcel receiving system that ensures that each small parcel is tracked completely from receipt at our facility, to the driver moving it, to the hospital delivery teammate carrying it, and finally to the recipient.  

This system has paid dividends especially when tracking parcels needed for upcoming procedures. In minutes, our team can determine the exact whereabouts of each parcel to ensure it’s where it needs to be, when it needs to be there.
